Podcasts are a flavor of syndication feeds designed to allow users to subscribe to audio or video content that is updated regularly by a publisher.

Podcasts are usually subscribed to with "podcatcher" or "podcast client" software. The most popular podcast client is iTunes. It is also possible to subscribe with "feed reader" applications that are designed to consume RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds.
